I came up wit...Hill - So glad I could inspire you! I came up with the idea, a few years ago, when I was taking in dinner to a lady from my ward, who'd just had a baby. I was making her an Italian dinner, and wanted to take her some garlic bread, but I didn't want to just slap some butter and garlic on a loaf of French bread and call it good.

I googled garlic bread recipes, without finding many that didn't start with "take a loaf of French bread..." LOL!

So, I thought about it awhile, and decided if I made a batch of dinner roll dough, rolled it out, spread it with butter, garlic salt, and fresh chopped garlic, rolled it up cinnamon-roll-style, and baked it in a loaf pan, it'd be a hot, fresh, tasty loaf of garlic bread when I was done.

I've done it a few times since then, and it always comes out yummy! :)Jennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10322695834654925217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21971774688313229.post-30108126882896902582009-09-24T17:17:09.780-07:002009-09-24T17:17:09.780-07:00thanks for the recipe! i just decided today i nee...thanks for the recipe! i just decided today i needed a pinwheel recipe and searched and found this from only yesterday!
i remember my mom used to make these with hamburger. i made them for a dinner potluck tonight with a lot of little kids in attendance. they gobbled them up. parents enjoyed another batch i made with herbs and garlic mixed with the cheese.

my kids enjoyed helping me knead the dough, roll it, and even cut it - we used a two-handled mezzaluna :)mezzalunahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08662922438384445305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21971774688313229.post-46827918072470722182009-09-23T20:49:25.528-07:002009-09-23T20:49:25.528-07:00OOOOH!OOOOH!~April~https://www.blogger.com/profile/09240254304149115499noreply@blogger.com
